RESUMEN

En este trabajo hemos realizado una breve aproximación al tema de la violencia en el ámbito de la familia durante el período moderno en el espacio extremeño. El análisis de la producción historiográfica existente sobre este tema, las fuentes utilizadas y los rasgos fundamentales que caracterizaron las situaciones de violencia existentes entre los esposos han sido los aspectos tratados en este estudio.

ABSTRACT

In this work we have done a brief approach to the subject matter of the violence in the family during the modern period in the area of Extremadura. The analysis of the existing historiografical production on this topic, the sources used and the fundamental features thet characterized the existing situations of violence between the spouses have been the aspects covered in this study.
