RESUMEN

En las crónicas escritas en el ámbito territorial de los dominios hispánicos del rey de Aragón (principalmente Aragón y Cataluña) durante los siglos XII al XV, la idea de España (Hispania, Espanya ... ) se aplica indistintamente a dichos dominios o al territorio irredento de al-Andalus. Idea que también aparece en la documentación oficial de la cancillería de los sucesivos monarcas, y que se identificaba con la Hispania Isidoriana que asimismo las crónicas castellanas y navarras recogieron para la misma época.

ABSTRACT

In the chronicles written in the territorial area of the Hispanic domains of the Aragon's king (principally Aragon and Catalonia) during the XIIth to XVth century, the idea of Spain (Hispania, Espanya ... ) is applied indistinctly to the above mentioned domains or to the territory of al-Andalus. This idea also appears in the official chancery documentation of the successive monarches, and was identified with the Hispania lsidoriana which at the same time it is used in the Castilian and Navarre chronicles.
