El presente artículo pretende poner de manifiesto el papel desempeñado durante siglos en la historia del Líbano por la familia Jumblat y su liderazgo al frente de la comunidad drusa. Esta dinastía encarna los dos elementos constitutivos del complejo sistema político y social del país: el confesionalismo religioso y las sagas familiares.

ABSTRACT

The present article focuses on the role played during centuries in the history of Lebanon by the Jumblat family and its leadership on Druze community. This dynasty embodies the two main axles that comprise the complex social and political system of the country: the religious confessions and the family lineages.
