RESUMEN

El trabajo analiza el papel desempeñado por la Escuela de Estudios Árabes de Granada en el desarrollo del arabismo español, en la política cultural del franquismo y en la consolidación de las relaciones culturales entre España y Marruecos desde su creación, en 1932, hasta principios de los años cincuenta. El objetivo de estas páginas es rescatar y valorar la historia de la institución y su contribución a las relaciones bilaterales. En este sentido, se pretende que su historia y sus actividades sean conocidas por marroquíes y españoles y alcancen una mayor difusión.

ABSTRACT

This paper analyses the role played by the School of Arabic Studies in Granada in the development of Spanish Arabism, in the Cultural Politics of Francoism, and in the consolidation of cultural relations between Spain and Morocco from its inception in 1932 to the early fifties. The purpose of these pages is to rescue and to value the history of the institution and its contribution to bilateral relations. In this respect, It is expected that its history and its activities will be known by Moroccans and Spaniards and reach a larger diffusion.
